On Saturday 28 September, after a couple of months of work and fundraising, we finally lifted the last portal into place for the workshop.

Lots of progress to report from Saturday 14 September 2013, a brilliantly fine Spring day as it turned out.
Another milestone was reached on Friday 2 August with a third portal frame lifted into position for our workshop extension.
In the past few weeks we have further extended our mainline track eastwards, finally reaching the pedestrian crossing opposite Maymorn Tranz Metro station.
On the morning of Saturday 22 June 2013 a small crowd of people braved the tail end of a southerly storm to see our shunt loco Tr 189 officially recommissioned.
Our mainline at Maymorn was extended a further two tracksets on Saturday 8 June, now just 10m shy of the pedestrian crossing gates.
Dame Margaret Shields passed away on 29 May 2013, former Labour MP for Kapiti, Minister of Customs and Consumer Affairs, Women's Affairs, and Chairperson of the Wellington Regional Council.
Road 1 in our rail vehicle shed received our attention on Saturday 11 May. Track was connected to the short length of temporary track that wooden sleeping carriage Aa1060 was stored on.
